Color Story: Song of Love

Giorgio de Chirico's early surrealist painting, Song of Love, is the inspiration for this color story. Painted in 1914, the work exhibits surrealist artistic style a full decade before the phrase was coined. I took this picture at the Museum of Modern Art here in NYC and the colors speak to an earthy palette of styles looking ahead to autumn.
