From the Designer
I just want to make beautiful things. That has always been my passion, and it has guided me through a career at premier fashion labels, including Vera Wang, Ellen Tracy, and Rebecca Taylor.
For thirteen years I honed my craft in technical design, fabric R&D, and fashion design with constant focus on the wants and needs of our customers. In 2021 I began applying my expertise to my own creative vision, expanding the lessons I learned in womenswear to the full gender spectrum.
I’ve always known that clothes could bring a special kind of joy. I’ve come a long way from watching The Oprah Show on my grandmother’s floor in Lexington, Mississippi, but the power of clothing as an expression of identity continues to fill my heart with wonder.
Clothes always speak for us, often loudly. My personal clothing choices have always been conversation starters in a way that is unusual for menswear. Leading my own brand gives me the creative freedom to bring the emotion and artistry that has long been an element of womenswear to a broader audience.
The clothes I design convey deliberate meaning—garments tailored in unexpected shapes, prints and trims referencing art history, words and imagery that echo my Mississippi childhood—all echoing from one piece to the next.
