The Jungle Beat

I am in LOVE with fabrics! From Acetate to Zappara there isn’t a fiber or textile that has yet to not capture the canvas of my imagination! In fact, back in the early autumn I came across the most spectacular jacquard at B and J Fabrics. The owner there knows me by name plus he knows I love anything that’s unique! He pulled this Jungle inspired gem out filled with colors and character that makes you just want to DANCE!

Instead of making summer shorts or a t-shirt (that may be too warm for the Spring/Summer ahead) I am going to store it and design into it for next Fall/Winter. I am thinking an OVERSIZED BOMBER JACKET with quilting. I will post inspiration and sketches for that soon! Super Exciting!

For now, I am using this fabric as inspiration for more seasonal ideas in a new color pallet I am calling “Jungle Beat”.

Using a few of the colors that echo the most for me in the jacquard I have shopped a few of my favorite retailers that have some great pieces to mix and match with your already existing wardrobe pieces.

Far Fetch - Multi Color Sweater for colder spring/summer evenings. Would also be cool wore tied at waist for all types of pop of color!

Zara - Khaki Jump Suit - Perfect for Safari Inspired Weekends out and about

JcPenny - French Terry Jogger
