Saturday in Park Slope

Unfortunately, I was in the office in midtown this weekend - schlepping through the Times Square crowds in 90 degree heat to get over to the garment district. So, I've decided that instead of lamenting a weekend commute (you're welcome), it would be a lot nicer to look back on a recent Saturday I spent getting flowers from our local flower shop, les' Blooms, followed by brunching and shopping in Park Slope.

I don't do a lot of lifestyle bragging, so I hope you'll forgive my sharing this stereotypical bougie experience. After all, I think we can all agree that there's some pretty seriously inspiring stuff going on in Park Slope on a summer Saturday! So, here goes...

Park Slope has some historic streets that still display beautifully flickering gas lamps in the front terrace. Te stopped to film a few moments of this mossy brownstone’s flickering history.

We stumbled across Items of Interest, a cute home furniture and decor shop near the restaurant and had to stop inside.

I found a tall one in yellow and had to have it. One drawback of its graceful proportions is that only very narrow-stemmed flowers can fit in it. Either way, it is a real beauty in a fun color!
